Beatha Healthcare offers a specialised Wound Care Centre run by Registered Nurse Practitioners creating patient-specific treatments in conjunction with their treating Doctor.

Beatha Healthcare's Wound Care Centres design treatment plans for all Acute (both surgical and traumatic) and Chronic wounds requiring frequent evaluation and dressing changes.

Chronic wounds that do not heal well, or heal very slowly, can become a serious problem. Such wounds require special care and treatment to prevent infection, loss of function and progression to an irreversible state requiring surgical intervention. Beatha Healthcare treats wounds caused by ulcers, pressure sores, trauma, diabetes and infections to mention a few.

Beatha Healthcare's team consists of practitioners with many years of experience in the fields of Trauma and Emergency Medicine, Critical Care (ICU) and Advanced Wound Care management.

Infusion Therapy

Beatha Healthcare’s Infusion Therapy Centres offer a peaceful, private and home-like environment for patients who are undergoing treatment for, among other conditions:

• Infections
• Dehydration
• Osteoporosis
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Autoimmune and Idiopathic diseases
• Iron deficiencies
• Multiple Sclerosis

Infusions are carried out in lazyboy style armchairs at our practises where our facilities offer a pleasant atmosphere, free wifi and DStv. Patients who do not need to be admitted into a hospital, and are mobile, can come in to a Beatha Healthcare Centre for their treatments and leave straight thereafter, ready for the rest of the day. Our services are available by appointment only and treatments are available during the week, plus over weekends if required.

Specialised HomeCare Services

Beatha Healthcare recognises that illness can be traumatic. Helping patients recover in their own environment has a positive outcome and is convenient and less stressful.

Beatha’s Specialised HomeCare Services renders support to Medical Doctors who consult and treat their patients in the home setting whether it be a patient’s house, Retirement Village, Frail Care Centre, Hotel or Guest House. Beatha’s Specialised HomeCare Services are booked and undertaken, by appointment at the request of the patient’s treating Doctor.

Our Homecare services include, but are not limited to:

• Patient follow-ups post the Doctor’s visit
• Wound Care
• Intravenous Fluid and Medication therapies
• Pain management (IV, IM, SC)
• In-dwelling drainage catheter management or replacement and patient / family education

Beatha Healthcare is an approved Discovery HomeCare provider.

Additional Services

The following additional services are also available from Beatha Healthcare:

• Post-operative follow-ups
• Injections of medication that must be taken frequently such as Intramuscular or Subcutaneous administration
